The standard we build to
We build this site to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is the standard the U.S. Department of Justice named in its 2024 rule for state and local government websites, and we hold ourselves to it because it is the clearest published statement of what accessible web content means.
We have not had the site independently audited, so we do not claim to conform. Saying otherwise would be easy and it would be untrue. What we can tell you is what we do: every image carries a description, every page works from the keyboard alone, colour is never the only way a thing is marked, text can be enlarged without the layout breaking, and nothing moves on its own without a way to stop it.
What we do not use
There is no accessibility overlay, widget or toolbar on this site, and there will not be. They do not make a site usable for the people they claim to help, they frequently interfere with the screen readers and keyboard tools people already rely on, and courts have not treated them as a defence. We would rather build the page correctly.
What we know is not finished
This site is being built, and we would rather list the gaps than imply there are none. We have not completed a full audit against every WCAG 2.1 AA success criterion. Property photographs and their descriptions are still being added. Where we eventually show maps or listing data drawn from other systems, we do not control how that content is built — we will describe the same facts in plain text on the page, so that nothing important exists only inside a map or an image.
Telling us about a barrier
If something here does not work for you, please tell us what page you were on and what happened. We will reply, and while we are fixing it we will give you the same information by phone, by email, or in person — whichever suits you.
We aim to reply within two business days.
